Relationships and Other Organizations
There are alumni of Evan E. Worthing Sr. High School who operate under their individual ‘Class Year’ or ‘Groups’ (Athletics, Cultural, Band, Music, Gospel Choir, etc). These entities fundraise and support the school by giving back where they see the need. They work with the administration and faculty supporting Worthing on various levels. However, Evan E. Worthing has always had an overall body established that is recognized as the Alumni Association and it operates structurally as the head organization which incorporates individual alumni members. The groups act as ‘associated groups’ (if you will…), and are not established as Non-Profit organizations.
Evan E. Worthing Sr. High School Alumni has established itself as a Non-Profit, Charitable organization as defined in Title 1, Chapter, 3, Subchapter A, of the Texas business organization code – effective November 10, 2010. Evan E. Worthing Sr. High School Alumni Association has 501(c) (3) status effective March 25, 2013.
Program Support
The Evan E. Worthing Sr. High Alumni Association has an ongoing relationship with HISD Administration, Worthing High School Administration, Faculty, Staff, Students, and the surrounding communities. There is overwhelming support regarding the Alumni’s activities on the school campus and in the community.
