Evan E Worthing Legend’s Event – Established February 2017

Evan E. Worthing has a rich history of graduating successful, productive students! We have graduated
Texas Senators, Representatives, NFL/NBA Athletes, Entertainers, Chairmen of the Board – Corporate
America, Business Owners, Federal prosecutors, etc. However, much of the student body, community,
and Houston communities, have no idea of these accomplishments. Our goal is to promote these
individuals and to show America that a predominately minority, (Black), school, created and envisioned by
a White Houstonian many years ago, has fulfilled the legacy in the city, state, and country. The Evan E.
Worthing Senior High School Alumni Association intends to promote our heritage to provide our youth of
today with the hope and factual images that mean so much and will assist in giving them a ‘leg up’ in their
quest to forge futures for themselves.
More importantly, this event is a major fundraiser for the organization to assist the students in their
pursuit of higher education. The desired result is to assist in building the exceptional leaders we know the
students are destined to become.
